A Mother's Story of Treating 9-Year-Old Twin Boys with ADHD

I am the mother of 9-year-old twin boys. I first suspected ADHD when I noticed them walking on their tiptoes. They were always very mischievous, but this particular behavior made me start to worry. After two hospital visits, they were finally diagnosed with ADHD. We proceeded with both behavioral and medication therapy. The boys couldn’t stay still during car rides and sometimes caused damage to others’ property with their uncontrollable antics. Initially, I thought they would improve with age and medication, but by the third grade, nothing had changed. It was challenging raising two boys, but having both diagnosed with severe hyperactivity was overwhelming for not just us as parents, but also their grandparents and relatives. Even before the ADHD diagnosis, our twins, who were born small, had frequent illnesses and allergies, making us worry even more about their growth.

Deciding on Stem Cell Therapy

To send the kids to school, morning medication was essential to prevent disruptions during classes. They also needed another dose after school.

Currently, the boys take medication twice a day, which suppresses their appetite, causing them to remain underweight. They were much lighter than their male cousin who was three years younger. Their thinness and potential nutrient deficiency raised concerns about their growth. However, without medication, managing their sleep and behavior was nearly impossible, making it extremely difficult to care for the twins.

The older twin performed well in school, but both had speech issues, struggled to sit still for more than 10 minutes, and the younger twin had anger management problems. This led us to seek out new treatment options beyond the existing ones.

After seeing improvements in my parents’ conditions with stem cell therapy, we consulted with specialists and considered this option for our children. Although my parents’ conditions were degenerative, we decided to start treatment with the older twin. We used neural stem cells, different from the usual umbilical cord-derived stem cells, and administered the appropriate amount for the child’s weight via IV.

It is difficult to fully express the daily experiences of our family in writing. Our quality of life has changed significantly in a short time, with natural eye contact during family meals and interactions with aunts and uncles. After seeing the three-month results of our first child, we immediately decided to start treatment for our second child. We will update you on the changes in our second child soon. (June 2024)
